A good laptop with decent battery life and durable as it already took a tumble off my lap after less than a month of owning it. My only issue is that the fingerprint reader doesn’t work at all. Its not a deal breaker as there are several other security options. I also bought it used so I don’t really know if it is an issue from the previous owner of if all acer swift laptop fingerprint readers are garbage

Update 2:It’s still not fixed. The keyboard will always freeze when it comes out of sleep mode. So now I can never use sleep mode. It has constant audio driver issues (no audio and missing driver) that requires restarts at least three times a month. And half the time the speaker audio is so cracky and staticy that I cant use it and have to restart. And it will go from 100% battery to 0% in seconds, FOR NO REASON! The worst purchase I’ve ever made. And no one will fix it even though I have the asurion amazon insurance and the Acer insurance.Update:After 7 months of having this laptop, the keyboard freezes so frequently that I have to send it in for repairs. Amazon wasn’t helpful despite this being a manufacturer’s problem they refused to replace the laptop. When I went to Acer for help, they only offered repair but I had to pay shipping. Overall, I am very disappointed with this purchase and the service, I won’t be buying expensive electronics from Amazon again.Original post:I am very pleased with the battery life of this laptop. But I do have some complaints. The keyboard has frozen on me twice in the month I’ve had it. It also came with scratches on the aluminum casing. It also overheats while it is plugged in to charge while I’m working on it. The images and text on websites also come off as blurry, even on the email app that was readily installed, the text font is blurry sometimes.

Bought this for my son back in December. Didn’t give it to him until Christmas. It’s been about 4 months now and the speaker/sound doesn’t work properly. The speaker sounds over modulated. Tried using the headphones and only get static. My son hasn’t used it much either. Always kept it on his desk and only used it for schoolwork. He was trying to go on zoom for schoolwork but couldn’t hear a thing clearly. Can’t get a live person on the tech support line. Disappointed.

Yes, I’ve had this laptop about a week and it charged the first time but now appears to not be charging. The computer is currently dead and I cannot use it. If someone from BESTRY could contact me about replacing the charger to see if that is the problem, that would be appreciated.

Pros: light weight, nice keyboard, screen is decent considering I have to adjust from 6yrs with a touchscreen, fingerprint scanner is convenient.Cons: speakers suck but the good news is the portability makes using headphones a bit more convenient.

Got this for the office. So far I like it. It has a lot going for it especially for the price. At $720 you’re getting an i7 with an MX150. That is a great deal. The laptop is pretty lightweight and very thin and portable. The battery life so far is about 10 hrs of normal to light use (battery settings on battery saver and 25% brightness).Makes for a great office laptop. The speakers though they fire downwards are still decent. You wont be starting a rave using them but they work much better than expected. The trackpad is good and uses windows precision drivers which is great and uses all the gestures. It’s not the biggest but it’s a good for the money. It does have some downfalls. My main issue is the keyboard. The keys have good travel and are back lit but the keys are too small and will take some time to get used to tying on it. I keep missing the keys and hitting the space in between. It does have an overlapping numberpad on the right part of the keyboard. Haven’t used it yet but not sure how fucntional it might be.Overall I like it and might update the review if anything changes.

So far everything’s great with this computer. It’s fast and light. The screen colors are nice and the frontal camera too. It took some time to setup but that’s Windows fault. I bought it with the Nvidia Mx150 and tried playing The Witcher 1, it runs fine in high quality settings, just glitches a bit at the beginning. It probably can’t handle newer more demanding videogames though.Sometimes the speaker distorts a bit but this always solves fast.Overall recommend.

I have had issues with the wifi adapter already twice in 6 months I have the laptop. Had to send it out, wait for Acer to get it “fixed”, now back to the start. If you want to be losing a lot of time dealing with Acer support (and don’t get me started with how bad their internal process is … just a hint, they have no idea if you have had other Service requests with them…. it is 2020 people, review your processes!) buy another brand.

The computer is awesome, quick, responsive, incredible screen, great keyboard. That said, on arrival mine sounded like it came with a blown speaker, really bad audio quality popping and crackling like crazy. It was so bad I began the returns process thinking I had gotten a lemon. While I was starting the returns I figured I would try to update the drivers just in case (didn’t think of that first as I assumed a brand new computer would have the latest drivers installed). After installing the audio driver from Acers website the audio started working properly and all was well. This thing is incredible, exactly the computer I wanted. Quick but small and light, a perfect travelers companion.Just do yourself a favor if you have any issues on a new one and update your drivers!

Initially I really liked the computer–it was fast, lighweight and sturdy. After about one year of use I had to replace the hard drive and the mouse pad click function broke so now I need to use an actual mouse. Also the keyboard stops working periodically which is remedied by a restart, but annoying and unacceptable. The printscreen function also is very hit or miss. Overall not a wise purchase and should be avoided.
