Coming from an iPhone 8 plus, I love this phone. The pictures I’ve taken at night are stunning. Great size, full screen, love it.

I am coming from a note 10 plus and I have no regrets buying this phone. Battery life is great, (as long as 5G is turned off, I leave it on 5G auto or LTE 4G). Display is wonderful, and the Apple keyboard is easier to type on. The learning curve wasn’t too bad, I saved my photos to google photos before the transfer. Calls are clear, not much different than the note. Very fast as well. The camera is also a big step up. The video quality is surreal! I was going to go for the 12 pro max but it is just too bulky due to the redesign. I’m very impressed with this phone-highly recommend it!

After years of being an Android fanboy, I finally switched. I’m happy to see Apple has added widgets and an app drawer, as well as more integration with Google products which I still use. The phone is super fast and smooth. The camera takes great pictures as you’d expect. The face unlock works surprisingly well and even in the dark. The one thing I do miss is the high screen refresh rate and the back button or gesture. Also since I live in Denver, I do have 5G and monitored my battery life, the battery life did not drain fast at all. It lasts a full work day and more with moderate to heavy usage. 90% using wifi and 10% using Mobile Data on 5G.

I looked at the iPhone 12 Pro as an upgrade from my iPhone 8+. The camera is is indeed a nice improvement, but the 5G is so far all marketing fluff – it’s no faster than LTE, and the battery life is lessened when it flips to that mode. I have been unable to use “ultrawideband” as it’s only available in small towns. Adjusting to the Face ID has been a pain in the butt, especially with the need to wear a mask in public. Really missing the fingerprint reader on the iPhone 8. Wireless charging has been a miss with the Otterbox Defender case. So overall, wishing I’d stuck with the iPhone 8+ until they get the kinks worked out.

The stainless steel frame is very rigid and nicely polished. The computational photography is vastly better than my iPhone 10. The Apple Play Audio is cleaner sounding on my car system. The speed of the phone is better. With the iPhone 10 trade in value, this was a no brainer.

    Nonstop Dropped Calls
I received this device on release day. The phone drops calls every 5 minutes no matter signal strength or location. I have had 3 warrantee replacement devices all with the same issue, and have been dealing with upper level customer service and tech support to find a solution for nearly 3 months now. There are many forums online showing this is a widespread issue. If you need to use your phone as an actual phone, do NOT get this one.
